Covid 19 and Planning Services

From Monday 21th Feb 2022, the planning public counter is open to walk in customers from Monday to Friday 9:30 am to 1 pm & 2 pm to 4:30 pm.  We can also be contacted by phone or email from 9 am to 5 pm on; by phone on 071-9650450 or email

While the public counter remains open as above, any customer may opt to make an appointment so that the particular planning files or records sought are available at that time you call in. Most of our planning files and records which are over 5 years are held in separate storage and will need to be retrieved.  Making an appointment will ensure that your query can be dealt when you arrive with as efficiently as possible.  A file retrieval fee of €25.00 applies to all planning history files requested to be retrieved from our storage facility.  Retrieval of such files normally take 24 to 48 hours.

Planning history files since from 2005 onwards are digitised and available to view online on this link; . Older planning history files are available for inspection in paper format. Copies or scanned documents can be provided on request subject to our standard copying/scanning fee.

Where required, the planning staff will endeavour to assist you without need to call in person to the public office.  Assistance with most general enquiries can be provided by telephone, post, email and via online services.
